Children of War: The Rising: A Building Darkness, a Spark of Light...
As the fires of war continue to rage over Filius, lion siblings Matakh and Meea struggle on in their efforts to provide for a band of fugitive children with the help of philanthropist Signa Atari. The Underground provides a safe haven away from prying eyes, but it does little to lift their spirits as the sounds of conflict still reach them from above. A vision in his dreams gives Matakh new purpose, and he determines to begin liberating children held in prisoner-of-war camps scattered throughout their territory. With his sister and friends at his side, the unlikely band of rebels manages to carry out several successful missions, and word of their efforts begins to spread, bringing hope to many.
Galika Lukanol, Lead Leonid Representative, has been named Grand General of the Leonid Military, but word of the repeated strikes against Leonid bases soon reaches his ears. Determined to snuff out any threat to his newfound authority, the General begins a campaign to find and capture the rebels at any cost. With every passing day, efforts on both sides gain momentum, and a perilous game of cat and mouse begins.
The board is set, the pieces are moving, and the stakes continue to mount. And in a game as perilous as this, the costs of failure can be higher than one can imagine...
